Dr. Dean C. Brandon

Pediatric Dentist

Dean C. Brandon, DMD is a Huntsville native who graduated from UAH in 1983 and from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1987. He received his specialty in Pediatric Dentistry from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.

Dr. Brandon is chairman of the Division of Dentistry at Huntsville Hospital and an adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He holds active memberships in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Alabama Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association and the President of the Huntsville Madison County Dental Society.

Dr. Brandon is married with two wonderful children. He is an active member in the First United Methodist Church in Huntsville and on occasion, you will find him playing the Trombone. In 2006, Dr. Brandon started a premiere Internet blog on Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics and has spoken nationally on the subject. He is currently working on a book as well. “I chose Pediatric Dentistry for a number of reasons, #1 being the children.”

Dr. Richard M. Butler, Jr.

Richard M. Butler, Jr., DDS completed studies at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in
1995 and a residency in Pediatric Dentistry in 1997.

Dr. Butler is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Alabama Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and Alabama Dental Association. He is past President of the Huntsville/Madison County Dental Society and currently serves as chairman of the Huntsville/Madison County Children’s Dental Health Program.

Dr. Todd L. Lackey

Todd L. Lackey, DDS graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1995. He completed a general practice residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, North Carolina and a Pediatric Dental Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston).

Dr. Lackey is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry has selected him to represent the third district on the scientific committee in charge of selecting speakers for continuing education.

Dr. Marc Masterson

Pediatric Dentist

Marc Masterson, DDS is a native of Decatur, Alabama. Dr. Masterson completed his dental education at the University of Tennessee – Memphis College of Dentistry in 1997. While there, he was presented an Outstanding Student Award by the American Society of Dentistry For Children. He furthered his training through a two-year residency program in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Tennessee and began private practice in 2000 as a Pediatric Dentist in Bartlett, Tennessee. During this time, Dr. Masterson was featured in the publication “Best Dentists In America” (2003), resulting from nominations by local peers.

Dr. Masterson is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Gnathos Orthodontics Society. When not caring for young smiles, he enjoys running, and playing the guitar.

Dr. Paul W. Sproul

Paul W. Sproul, DMD, MS received a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, graduating first in his class. After additional training at the University of Texas, Dr. Sproul achieved a Master of Science and Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and was also the recipient of the Shepard Award of Distinction for having the American Board of Orthodontics’ highest written exam score in the nation.

Dr. Sproul is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and Alabama Dental Association. He currently serves as an officer in the Huntsville/Madison County Dental Society.

When not creating great smiles, Dr. Paul enjoys spending time with his wife, Jenni, and two children Zachary and Valarie, and their dog Kipper. Dr. Paul is an active member at Asbury Methodist Church, where he has coached Upwards basketball, volunteered as Men's Ministry Treasurer, and served on the Administrative Board. He is still awaiting an invitation to sing in the choir, which is likely to not come. He enjoys combining two of his hobbies, traveling and attending dental/orthodontic meetings. An orthodontic and self-improvement book junkie, Dr. Paul is also an avid reader. Some of his favorite authors are Stephen Covey, John Maxwell, and Ken Blanchard.

Dr. Paul became an orthodontist because of the opportunity to make a significant difference in a child's life. A child that can smile with confidence has the opportunity to positively influence everyone he or she come into contact. And that is how we change the world.

 

Dr. Kevin D. Tesseneer

Kevin D. Tesseneer, DMD, MS graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 2003. He was awarded the Dean's Scholarship Award and the OKU Award of Excellence. For two years, he practiced family dentistry in Belmont, Mississippi. After additional training at the University of Texas Health and Science Center, Dr. Tesseneer received a Masters of Science and Speciality Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2007. Dr. Tesseneer and Dr. Sproul work together to provide quality orthodontic treatment for our patients.

Dr. Tesseneer is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association and he is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Tesseneer is an avid runner and enjoys most outdoor activities, especially golf, and tennis. When he can't spend his free time outdoors he enjoys playing the guitar and reading. In the fall you will find him cheering on his beloved Ole Miss Rebels!!!
